Augmentation for the Dragonfly AI team

We provided expert team augmentation for Dragonfly AI, allowing them to enhance their development capabilities and ensuring the timely delivery of innovative visual analytics solutions.

Overview

Dragonfly AI partnered with James Chase to leverage team augmentation services, addressing the need for scalable and flexible resources to support product and technology development.

 

The project focused on supplementing the Dragonfly AI’s internal team with highly skilled engineers and a senior product designer, ensuring accelerated progress on critical projects without long-term overhead. 

The Challenge 

Dragonfly AI needed a flexible resourcing model to scale bandwidth and manage burn rate efficiently. The challenge was to integrate external engineers seamlessly into their existing processes while maintaining alignment with security standards, team culture, and roadmap priorities.

 

Additionally, addressing specific skill gaps in frontend, backend, and product design was essential for driving progress. 

The Solution 

We provided tailored team augmentation, delivering two engineers -one backend and one frontend – from Lagos, Nigeria, and a senior product designer on a short-term contract.

 

These professionals integrated seamlessly into Dragonfly AI’s team, participating in daily standups, collaborating on critical projects, and taking ownership of key deliverables. Support from our end ensured compliance with SOC 2 and ISO standards, smooth onboarding, and alignment with Dragonfly AI’s operational needs. 

The Impact

This partnership enabled Dragonfly AI to accelerate key workstreams, such as implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) functionality critical to onboarding a major customer.

 

The engineers’ contributions supported faster progress without the long-term overhead of full-time hires. This flexible model not only improved agility but also influenced Dragonfly AI’s strategic approach to resource allocation, setting the stage for scalable growth and innovation.
